Razer DeathAdder V2
The Razer DeathAdder V2 resembles the Razer DeathAdder Elite in appearance. The CPI switching buttons have changed form and size, and the plastic surrounding them has become glossy black. The mouse sports an RGB-lit Razer emblem on the back, and there is another RGB zone in the mouse wheel. This mouse isn’t the most portable due to its wired and slightly hefty form, but as it’s primarily intended for use with your home gaming setup, this shouldn’t be an issue for most people. The Razer DeathAdder V2 has a solid build quality. Despite being much lighter, the build quality is the same as the previous version, but it has better feet and a lot better cable. This mouse is far lighter than the original generation, which is fantastic. Except if you bungee the cord, there is no weight optimization.
Razer DeathAdder Elite
The Razer DeathAdder Elite resembles a gaming mouse but lacks a futuristic appearance. The Razer logo is on the rear, and it’s quite simple and elegant. In contrast to the Razer DeathAdder Essential, which has only green lighting, the Elite has RGB lighting on both the logo and each side of the mouse wheel. The right side also has a small downward tilt. The Razer DeathAdder Elite isn’t the finest travel companion due to its connected construction and relatively hefty shape. People seeking a gaming mouse for their desk setting, on the other hand, will not be concerned by this. The Razer DeathAdder Elite is a high-quality gaming mouse. It is built of solid plastic and has no wobbly parts. Because the DeathAdder lacks the option to tilt its mouse wheel, the mouse seems slightly less loose than the Mamba Elite, but this is a very tiny difference. It has nice feet that slide beautifully. This mouse does not have any weight optimization. It’s still light, but not as light as some ultra-lightweight gaming mice.
GRIP

This mouse is quite comfortable to use. It features a small tilt that makes it more suited to right-handed use, yet it includes rubber grips on both sides. Its lengthy shape is more suited for a palm or claw grip. When using the palm grip, this mouse is ideal for all hand sizes.
Only people with small hands will have a hard time with the claw grip with this mouse, as it’s quite large, and it may be difficult to reach the front side button. Everyone else should have no problems reaching all the buttons.
Because of the long shape of this mouse, those with small hands may struggle with fingertip grip, as it may be difficult to comfortably press the L/R click buttons and the front side button.
Razer DeathAdder Elite
The ergonomics of this mouse are excellent for right-handed users. There are rubber grips on the side to help you grip the mouse firmly, and all of the buttons are easily accessible. Because it’s a long mouse, it’s best for palm and claw grasp, but if you don’t have small hands, you may also use the fingertip grip. When using the palm grip, the Razer DeathAdder Elite is ideal for all hand sizes. It’s simple to reach all of the buttons and maintain good mouse control.
Unfortunately, little hands will struggle to use the Razer DeathAdder Elite’s claw grip. The mouse is a little too lengthy, and the hand posture is difficult. CABLE AND WIRELESS VERSATILITY
Razer DeathAdder V2

BUTTONS
Razer DeathAdder V2
The buttons on the Razer DeathAdder V2 are fantastic. The L/R click buttons, according to Razer, utilize optical switches. However, we haven’t tested for this yet. Every button on this mouse is programmable, including the profile switch button on the underside, and a Hypershift button adds an added degree of customization. This mouse has a very low click latency. It provides a very responsive and consistent in-game experience for all kinds of games.
Razer DeathAdder Elite
The Razer DeathAdder Elite lacks the number of configurable buttons found in MMO mice, but it still offers enough for most gamers. You may also reprogram almost any button, including the up and down arrows. The wired click latency of the Razer DeathAdder Elite is acceptable for most users. There will be no lag when gaming with it.
PERFORMANCE
Razer DeathAdder V2
The Razer DeathAdder V2 office mouse is adequate. Its slightly ergonomic shape makes it easy to use for long periods of time, and it features a good number of customizable buttons that you can map to assist you in swiftly switching between programs. Unfortunately, its mouse wheel does not support horizontal or non-incremented scrolling, making navigating through big documents more difficult. On the plus side, it fits practically any hand size unless you utilize a claw or fingertip grip, in which case small hands may struggle to reach all of the buttons.
Razer DeathAdder Elite
Excellent for use as an office mouse. It includes a comfortable ergonomic form for right-handed users and a few adjustable buttons. If you use a claw or fingertip grip, it may not be optimal for smaller hands, but it will work perfectly for a palm grip. This mouse is likewise wired-only, so you’ll need to arrange its cable, so it doesn’t obstruct your workspace.
GAMING
Razer DeathAdder V2
The Razer DeathAdder V2 is an amazing first-person shooter gaming mouse. It has exceptionally low click latency and allows you to choose your own unique CPI value within a very wide range. Its buttons can all be reconfigured, and it’s comfortable enough to use during long gaming marathons. It’s ideal for palm grip for any hand size, while claw or fingertip grasp may be more difficult for smaller hands. It also includes a few configurable buttons, which is a plus. It’s also appropriate for most hand sizes, though persons with small hands may have abnormal hand posture when utilizing the claw or fingertip grip. The Razer DeathAdder V2 MMO mouse is fantastic. While it does not have as many buttons as a dedicated MMO mouse, every one of them is programmable, which is fantastic. It’s comfortable to use for lengthy periods of time and has a very low click latency. The palm grip is pleasant for all hand sizes, and the claw or fingertip grasp is only difficult for individuals with small hands.
Razer DeathAdder Elite
Excellent for video games such as FPS. It offers excellent performance and can be tailored to your requirements, but it is not the lightest option. On the plus side, its click latency is reasonable, and the mouse is responsive. Excellent for MMO games. It features a few customizable buttons, but not as many as MMO mice with an extra panel of buttons. If you utilize the claw or fingertip grip, it may be too large for little hands, but otherwise, this mouse is quite universal for most right-handed persons. Because of its wired construction, it has very low latency, which is ideal for gaming.
SOFTWARE
Razer DeathAdder V2
The Razer DeathAdder V2 takes advantage of Razer’s excellent Synapse 3 software. Unlike the previous version, this mouse now features onboard memory, allowing you to remember your settings and keep them even if you transfer PCs. Unfortunately, Razer’s Synapse 3 software does not support macOS. On the plus side, this mouse features onboard memory, which means you may make adjustments on a Windows PC, and they’ll be remembered when you use the mouse on a Mac.
Razer DeathAdder Elite
The Razer Synapse 3 software is quite nice; however the DeathAdder Elite choices are quite poor. Because the mouse lacks onboard memory, it cannot be used with numerous PCs, but this may not be an issue for most gamers who just have a single setup. Unfortunately, you cannot store and switch between several profiles. If you create an account, you will also be able to save your settings and lighting patterns for all Razer products. Very good compatibility. Although the Razer Synapse 3 software is not available for macOS, the Razer DeathAdder Elite may be used on both Windows and macOS. You won’t be able to alter your settings on macOS, but all of the basic buttons and options will work.
CONCLUSION
The Razer DeathAdder V2 and Essential share the same shape and size, but the V2 performs better overall. It boasts a shorter lift-off distance, much lower click latency, a much larger CPI range, and more precise CPI adjustment. It also includes a lot more flexible braided cable, improved mouse feet, and two programmable buttons beneath the scroll wheel. The Essential is bulkier, lacks onboard memory, and has only green backlighting.
